Laphroaig View guest house was built in 2010 and is situated on a working farm, just outside Port Ellen on the south coast of Islay. Only minutes along the road are the world famous Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries, making this the perfect base for lovers of Islay's most peated drams. Also to the north and west are Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Kilchoman, Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain and Ardnahoe. The Isle of Jura is only a 5 minute ferry ride from Port Askaig and the Jura distillery is 7 miles by road from the ferry port.

We are currently able to offer our guests 3 en-suite rooms, "Kintyre View", "Rathlin View" and "Torradale View". All rooms have free wi-fi. Rooms have 32 in. Hitachi L.E.D. free-sat televisions, tea/coffee facilities and radio alarms. There is also a large family room on the ground floor. We also have plenty of private parking and also a secure garage for bikes or camping gear etc.

There is a large south facing lounge/breakfast room with a large 50" flat screen TV with Sky TV and DVD player. Or you can go out onto the patio with fantastic views looking across to Antrim and Kintyre. Also available for our guests is a coffee machine, or you could just snuggle up in front of the real open fire and have a wee dram. Please check out the pictures at the bottom of this page.

Free wi-fi is available throughout Laphroaig View.

All our water, including all baths and showers, is supplied from our own 100% natural crystal clear spring water well. The bore well source is deep in the quartzite and granite rocks, then naturally filtered and finally passed through our state of the art UV system. The result is wonderful natural spring water as pure as you can get! Not only will you taste the difference but you will actually FEEL the difference.

A full cooked Scottish breakfast is available and included in your price. Packed lunches and evening meals are also available on request. Special diets can also be catered for.
